Guy cries because his mirror-less can't lock and keep focus on an indoor karate demonstration shooting at 3200 ISO f/4.0 at 125th second. Why would you buy a mirror-less for that? Guy spends $2000 on mirror-less when he should have bought a D500 Nikon DSLR and a Heh! This just reminded me of a friend who is also into karate. At least he didn't spend a lot, just an EPL4 and a couple of zooms. But he complained of the same until I showed him how to set the blessed thing to manual focus, pick a focus point in the middle of the field and wait until the karate guys were somewhere near it to take the shots or move slightly to get them into the sweet spot. Aperture did the rest of the job. It's how we used to take these kind of photos back in the days of slow film and it still works perfectly nowadays when spending a small fortune on a dslr with superAFeverything is out of the question. |
