Default PING: Tony Cooper - Re Smugmug

I have a Smugmug question which I hope you can answer.

In each of the Galleries I have created in Smugmug (8 in total) there
is a label in the center of the thumbnail reading "UNLISTED". I can
find no reference in Smugmug, or reason why this tag exists or its
purpose. Do you have any idea of what the "UNLISTED" tag is all about?

Here is one folder holding four individual galleries where the label is
obvious.

Google this: "smugmug icon unlisted". Lots of hits.

You must have set that. Go to the Gallery, Gallery Settings, Security
& Settings, Visibility. There you will find a drop-down that is
either Public (Anyone), Unlisted (Anyone with the link), and Private
(only me).

A Public gallery is visible to anyone who finds your SmugMug site or
is given your SmugMug site. A Private gallery is seen by you when you
are logged in, or by anyone you have given a link to that Gallery to,
but not by anyone who just finds your site.

If you access your site, and either don't log in or log out, that
Unlisted gallery will not be seen. It allows you to control the
privacy of a Gallery. I have several Unlisted galleries.

You can change the status at any time you are logged in.

Thanks, I understand that it is a site security status thing.
Right now I have the security/visibility set to link only access with
no fully public or searchable galleries. So that explains all.
