Default Problem with HP M22

I hope I'm posting in the right place for this enquiry.

I have an HP Photosmart M22 and despite using rechargeable 2000 mAh batteres
will not take photos and displays the following message: "Batteries are too
low to take pictures". Using the HP supplied 1300 mAh batteries I get:
"BATTERIES DEPLETED. Camera is shutting down."

Anyone any ideas please?

Sounds like your camera needs repairing.

S'wat I feared. Bit of a bummer as it's brand new!

Nah, that's the good news. Bummer is when it happens two weeks out of
warranty.

According to the nice HP lady in India, and as per an article I spotted on
the web somewhere, the camera requires a firmware upgrade. As per the same
article, this upgrade requires that you have an additional memory card for
the camera. However, after telling the nice HP lady in India that I didn't
have a memory card she took my name and address and is sending me a
replacement camera this week!!!
