Default Fujifilm GA 645 zi

I need autofocus, a high enough flash sync for fill flash, an accurate flash
metering system, and medium telephoto lens, either rangefinder or SLR. The
intended use is outdoor weddings, particularly in bright sun,

How the Fuji 645 zi for outdoor fill flash on bright sunny days (with an
external flash)? What flash unit would be good for it?

The 645 zi has a built in pop-up flash that is fine for fill inside of
10-12 feet. For external flash, I have used Rollei potato-masher, the
Rollei 134 shoe-mount and the Vivitar 185 with good results.

Will the pop up flash handle a large family, wide angle shot? I didn't
think so. I will need the masher, or something similar.

You're right, the pop-up probably won't handle a very wide angle,
although it will cover the angle that the lens covers. But if the group
is large, you may have to be furher back than what the flash's effective
range is. I should think a Vivitar 283 or 285 (with the wide-angle
setting) would do well.

Why not use slave strobes as extra lights? Your on camera flash should be
able to trigger those, even with a distance between the camera and the
lights.

Well, I've got a 283, and I will be experimenting. I just bought a Fuji
GA 645 Zi, today. Nice camera, I think I'm going to like it. It's a
simple camera, and I like that about it.

The Fujifilm Strobe GA is especially made for the Fuji 645 cameras, as
it has vertical light dispersion to match the orientation of the
cameras. They are not real easy to find, but often appear on eBay.
