I noticed that if you look at an angle through a hole in a plate of finite thickness you will see that your line of site is neither round nor elliptical. Part will be masked by the front surface and another part by the rear. The result is a field of view shaped like a (non-soccer) foot ball. -- Regards, Eric Stevens |
