Default Canon Photorecord question

I have a canon digital camera with the Photorecord software.

Is there any to convert the resulkting .alb files to a standard picture
format such as .jpg?

Thanks

Have a look at http://www.photorecord.com/v1/qa.html. Always a good thing to
have a look at Google first - seems you have to pay to get a Gold version.

You can't - Canon put it out of its misery about a year ago.

If you're really desperate, you can do a screen capture into an image
editor (e.g. PS, PSP) - extract the album page and save it as JPG.

Is there an alternative package that does a similar "photo album" type thing
that can export to jpg? Preferably freeware.

Thanks
