I think it works with chickens too, although probbaly not at fried chicken outlets.

That makes sense, I guess they'd be a bit nervous and extra shaky.
Could probably calm them down with a shot of whisky or some diazepam or
whatever anxiolitic the American justice system uses to reassure
convicts that everything's going to be okay - just before they strap
them down and kill them.

It looks to me like additional IS in post-processing used as an effect.

I think that version is possibly better than the original, the image
itself has been stabilised from camera movement.
