Actually there's a federal regulation that cameras have to be weighted
in the back to increase the odds they will land lens-face=up.

Isn't that the same regulation that declares toast must fall butter side
down? Or do I have that confused with a Murphy law that states the odds
of toast falling butter side down increase with the cost of the carpet?


Take a DSLR and put a lense on it and let it fall out of your hands,
let's say 1.5m. It will land on it's back... This is due to the weight
balance of the gadget and the aerodynamic will enforce it if anything.
Try it your self!


OK Lend me your camera, as a test.


You have longer and more appropriate lenses, for the aerodynamic part....
