People spend many hundreds of dollars, if not thousands, to buy cameras
so they can shoot people. Then after shooting someone all they get is a
photograph. Thats a lot of money to spend for a lousy photograph.

If you want to shoot people, BUY A GUN. You can buy a gun for much less
money than a camera, and guns are much more effective. When you shoot
someone with a gun, you get more than a photograph, you actually get to
take their life. And lives are always more valuable than pictures.

I am truly ashamed to admit it, but there is something funny about
this.

It is an obvious TROLL, especially when my Kimber CDP cost $1,200 in 2002,
and the new X-E3 body is going to sell for $899.

Okay, that's pretty funny too... Maybe we can convert this to the
official humor thread.

Then there is always this to consider.

Sure, but I bet he didn't waste big money on a silly camera. The OP is
right, a camera will get him a photo, but that assault rifle will get
him pure mayhem. That's much more valuable.

My S&W 686 was $900 in 1990. A lot more than most mid-level cameras today, in
constant 2017 dollars.

That must be CD$900 as the 686 has an MSRP of US$829 today.
Regardless, it is one of the finest revolvers you can buy.
