D40 takes 18-70mm?
Will the new Nikon D40 accept the Nikkor D 18-70mm AF-S kit lens?
Are there any functional limitations? I heard there was some problem with fitting this lens to the D50. Thank you, John Morris

The D40 will work with any AF-S or compatible third-party lense. I heard there was some problem with fitting this lens to the D50. No issues...probably someone trying to push another brand or suggesting that the normal 18-55 "kit" lense is the usual model on the D50. The 18-70 will work fine on all of the Nikon digital bodies. -- Happy Holidays!
