It had 380,000 pixels. It need to be tethered to big pieces of equipment to work. It did have a fast 11-60mm f/1.2 lens. It had a highly cropped CCD. It was called the RC-701. It took stills from video. http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Canon_RC-701 I read that Kodak built the first digital still camera. Any comments? Mort Linder |

Here is a shot of an early Nikon as modified by Kodak. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjmi3jbg2e...C6425.jpg?dl=0 The cards in the window appear to attribute the camera to 1983. I took this in the Paris Museum of 'Arts & Metieres' in 2013. It was in a glass case surrounded by bright lights. There was no position from which I could get a shot free of glass reflections. -- Regards, Eric Stevens |

Damn blasts from the past make me want to babble about the time Bill [Willard Sterling] Boyle popped in to my lab and said (paraphrased) so what are you working on in here? ~ Ah, but that had little to do with my photography. ~ However, it does (in some obscure way) link me to those first digital cameras. ;-) -- == Later...
