Default Are Jobo Germany deaf & dumb?

I e-mailed Jobo Germany twice asking if they would service and/or repair a
Jobo film processor, but they have never bothered to reply. The only UK
company that used to do this for them is no longer doing it, and if there
are any problems, I shall have to send the processor to Jobo germany. This
makes it difficult for me to buy a 2nd hand jobo film processor, and does
not inspire enough confidence to splash out on a brand new one. I now begin
to suspect that because of the digital revolution, they might soon be going
out of business, at least as far as film processors are concerned? Or am I
unnecessarily alarmist at this stage?

The Jobo service department has been heavily scaled down and their
service for analog equipment now operates as a separate company,
basically a one-man operation by Mr. Seynsche, the former head of the
Jobo service department.

He still provides spares and service for all analog Jobo equipment with
the exception of some very early automatic machines, i.e. the ATL-1 and
ATL-2 "non-plus", for which spares are no longer available. No problems
with the ATL-1000 or 1500 which I understand you've been considering.

You might try to contact him via his own website:

http://www.fotolaborservice.de/

....or simply call him under:

++49 2261 41114.

HTH,
Ralf
