Default Mamiya AFD system likes? vs. dislikes?

Hi all

I'm considering a Mamiya AFD system and would like to hear from folks who
have experience with the system.

I'm less concerned about the AF and digi vs. reliability, user friendly,
etc.

Basically, can it handle being used like a workhorse?

Thanks
j

The 645Pro(TL) has a wider selection of lenses and the lenses that appear in
both AF and MF versions are a lot cheaper in MF. (Although you may be able
to use MF lenses on the AF camera.)

Also the 645Pro can be used without the motor drive. (Motor drive isn't
something I want on an MF camera.) Holding a 645 camera from a grip off to
the side means that the whole weight of the camera is off at a significant
lever arm distance, so you have to support it with your left hand anyway.
The 645Pro can be supported with the left hand and operated with the right
making it a far more ergonomic beast.

I suppose AF might be nice, but that's a rather steep price to pay. (If you
really need motors and AF, Pentax may make more sense than Mamiya, but the
lack of back interchangeability may be a problem.)
