Flash with selectable GN

I think I remember an Nissin flash unit where you could chose from several
Guide Numbers (GN) on the back of the unit. I know most flashes are
automatic today, but does anyone know of a flash in production today that
has a choice of GNs?

Any flash unit which as Manual mode and variants (M/2, M/4, M/8) is
inherently allowing control. Or, any unit which combines ISO setting
and also selection of shooting f/stop on the camera lens is also
inherently providing similar control. Metz has both capabilities, for
one brand example.

The controls you're mentioning are related to automatic flash. I looked
into it a little more and there are some flashes that have 1/2, 1/4, 1/16
outputs in manual mode. Any models anyone could recommend?

Wrong! M means Manual, M/2 means Manual at half power. It has nothing
to do with Auto, and the Metz flashes have that setting, as I said in
the original response I provided.
