Remote Control for Nikon Coolpix L1
This useful software unfortunately runs only under WinXP and not under
Win98, even though it requires Nikon Picture Project that can run under Win98 too. Now I'm looking for a trick to run Remote Control under Win98 since I want to connect my L1 to an old notebook which supports Win98. Alternatively, is there some lighter sw (under Win98) executing at least remote shooting? il barbi

Have you given the old CPix app a try? seems it works only with Coolpix 990, the reports date back to 2004... anyway where can I download it from? il barbi
