The TV show, "The Rookie" shows cops arresting a photographer who was:

that's not a misrepresentation. it happens *all* *the* *time*.

a couple of days ago the minneapolis police were given a temporary
restraining order to stop attacking journalists, which was promptly
ignored. in fact, the police increased their attacks against the
journalists.

here's yet another instance, where a cop had a presumably dangerous
suspect held at gunpoint, but then decided to go after the much bigger
threat, someone recording the encounter at a distance from his porch.

note that the cop left the original and presumably dangerous suspect
and holstered his gun, therefore his use of force for *that* part is
*also* excessive.

A Vallejo, Calif., police officer has been placed on administrative
leave and is facing a lawsuit after a video showed him pulling his
gun on a motorcyclist and then forcefully detaining another man for
recording the incident on his phone.

administrative leave = paid vacation.

The woman in question had been receiving notes from someone, not threatening
so one more reason they had no legal right to arrest anyone.

where did you get the crazy idea that mattered?
