OIC. I guess the Nikon professionals, who incorporate NX2 into their
workflow

he wasn't asking about workflow. he wanted to copy photos from the
camera to the computer, which can be done in many ways.

as for your ignorant comment, most professionals, whether it's nikon,
canon or something else, overwhelmingly choose lightroom for their
workflow versus the manufacturer's own provided app because it
typically is not very good, slow and very limiting.

Again, you insist on creating a pejorative, proving you argue just to
argue.

should hire you to give them advice.

yes, they should. nx2 is very poorly written.

Nobody is talking about what you consider to be most.

wrong, and it's *you* who brought up irrelevant issues.

he never asked about workflow. he wanted to move photos to the
computer, which i answered. you've offered *no* additional help. all
you're doing is arguing.

If getting the photos from camera to computer is not part of the
"workflow", where does it begin?

another one of your idiotic semantic arguments and completely unhelpful
to the original question.

Using your definition of "most" (my personal opinion and not based on
any outside data), most photographers consider getting the photograph
from camera to computer as the first step of the workflow.

that depends on the workflow, what the purpose of the photos are, what
apps will be used, etc.

if lightoom manages everything including copying, then copying the
photos can be considered part of the workflow. otherwise, not.

for instance, sometimes photos might be copied to the computer and
emailed directly. that's a workflow too.

In LR, doing this right is an essential step. If it's not placed in a
folder that will be retained, the photo will be unavailable in the
future.

nonsense.
