Acutol.
Years ago, the literature for Acutol mentioned the inclusion of Hydroquinone
and Metol, in the "Film Developing Cook Book" by Steve Anchell & Bill Troop, it mentions Phenidone. Now I`m confused by this statement, is Acutol MQ, PQ or MPQ? |

Isn't there a distinction between Acutol and Acutol S in Anchell?

"Lew" wrote in message ... Isn't there a distinction between Acutol and Acutol S in Anchell? In terms of developer components, `perhaps` which is what I would like clarified. Acutol-S was designed as an alternative to D-76/ID-11 and Microphen, Acutol is non-solvent and designed for high definition with films in the ISO 25 to 200 speed group although some use it with success in for higher speed group films. I never liked Acutol-S very much ( I prefered D-76) but like Acutol. Thanks for replying. |

The former was a powdered solvent developer; the latter is a liquid acutance developer. The formulas are nothing alike. |
