Linhof's cameras are probably heavier and more expensive than all others, but they are of extreme durability, rigidity and operational reliability. I would not buy anything else but a Linhof if I plan to buy a camera of this type only. The other cameras you mentioned are fine, less heavy but also less durable. It depends on what you want to do with it - if you are using the camera for a few shots a week under very good conditions, then cheaper brands are certainly fine as well, if you are planning to hike with a 4x5inch camera, then think about weigth and go for another one, but if you want a workhorse which does not let you down, go for Linhof. Linhoff Super Technika vs other Field Cameras
You are actually comparing apples to oranges. There are two basic divisions to
field cameras: wood or metal. The Technika is metal as is the Toyo you mention and the Zone VI are wood. The Technika is one of very few metal field cameras that are available new today with coupled rangefinders; the only other one I know of is one of the Wista models. If the rangefinder is important to you .. and it can be very sueful if you want to shoot 'press style' hand held then those are your choices. If you are going to shott on a tripod then the Linhof is a fine piece of machineary but there are lots of thing s to consider and what you are shooting and your style of shooting will go a great way toward deciding if a Technika is right for you.
