Ideas re aquitring such a thing. Really want it to assist smooth pan

They work, bogen makes three models, light medium and heavy duty, (which you could put a several hundred pound camera on) and your choice of legs. Ideas re aquitring such a thing. Really want it to assist smooth pan and tilts on digital camcorder.
