Evil Apple in trouble again

Side issue. Apple is grossly over-valued. It's valued higher than Exxon and Exxon has five TIMES the revenue. Over $100 of every share of Apple is cash. (dividends and stock buyback will begin soon over the next 3 years. I doubt, long term, that it will reduce the cash/share much). Exxon has less than $13B in cash v. Apple's $100B hoard. Margins. Exxons margins are not very high. Apple's are huge. Growth. Exxon has not changed much, fundamentally. Growth in revenue has been driven by the price of oil, with little improvement in margin. Exxon is a riskier play for investors in the long term. Oil prices and oil delivery risks have risen in recent years. Oil sources for Exxon (ex-US) are not guaranteed. -- "I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did. I said I didn't know." -Samuel Clemens. |
