The exposure is fine. The composition sucks not to mention the choice of
subject matter. One could see the humor in it if they stretch.

Is *this* the best of Maui ??? God in Heaven, stay in Tennessee....

Tennessee passed a law requiring that Bret remove himself for several weeks a
year so they can have some respite.

You friggin' redneck. You're in paradise, Lahaina it coud be, and you shoot
a donut shop. Do yourself and get back to your rented trailer, dump the
camera, and enjoy the beach. ;-)

Where are you staying? The view of Molokai looked like Kanapaali or Kapalua.

You could have saved a whole bunch of money and just gone to Santa
Barbara.
Looks just like this, mountains in the background and everything...

Canon has its dear problems with firmware in the EOS-20D,
maybe that's the reason for the exposure problem. Especially
do not pickup the 1.0.4! See dpreview for details: they
released 1.0.5 almost instantly. Canon's motto is: rush,
rush, rush, fix fix fix. I am an owner of a 13x19" Canon
printer with "over 20 years fade resistance." We talk now
with them about the One Year Faded Away "20 year fade safe"
images made on the top of the line Canon Photo Pro Glossy
paper and kept in moderate light conditions... I am stopping
to believing in anything what they do.

Thomas

And your point in posting this rant to this thread was....?

I'm staying at Kaanapali. Play golf at Kapalua.

You mean besides the thought that you can buy 2 20D bodies for the price of
a D2X? G

Hey Bret. I've been to the Hawaiian Islands a couple of dozen times. There
are infinitely more interesting, more beautiful, dare I say it, more tasty
images to create there than a KK doughnuts store front. You didn't have
to
go to Hawaii for that. Now clean the lens, recharge the 20D's battery and
show me why I shouldn't buy a D2X. ;- Cheers.
