Default Is this where "movie mode" is taking DSLRs?

I had missed the announcement of the Casio Exilim EX-FH20 when responding to
the thread announcing the online video from the 5D Mk II a few weeks back.
Here is a quote from the DPReview article:

"The EX-FH20's burst mode allows up to 40 7.1MP images to be recorded in
burst [sic] of anywhere between 1 and 40fps."

So, is the "movie mode" in the 5D and other SLR's a precursor to this type
of capture? Will a high frame rate, pro-DSLR be coming out that will allow
sports and other action photography at something like video frame rates with
acceptable image quality, something like a 1D MkII, but with 20-30 fps
bursts?

On another note, is it possible to have both an optical and electronic
viewfinder on the same DSLR?

'sOK: you can stop perking up interest for the coming
replacement of the 1dm3...
