5.0 MP Digital Camera - SONY - comments?
Hello,
Thinking of getting a Sony DSCV1 5MP Digital Camera. I need the camerai for web work and posters - large posters. So I want to keep detail of shots I take. I noticed it only saves in jpg, tif and mpg. Would I need any other formats? So far, .jpg has always been fine. Warranty is 1 year. Can someone suggest a competitor? Or views on this camera? Sony takes proprietary ram sticks - is this an issue? Any other things I should perhaps check on before buying a digital camera? Thanks, Tmuld. |

I bought this camera about 1 month ago and really like it especially the
following; compactness, quality metal construction, Zeiss lens, hot shoe, low light focusing, ISO 100-800, auto or manual operation, buy a 2nd battery I shot fine jpg instead of tiff mode on a recent trip at 3 m/p because I only had 2 -128mb sticks... was impressed with my pics. dave "Tavish Muldoon" wrote in message om... For very large posters that look decent, you need very high resolution. If you can't afford a 14 megapixel digital camera, then I suggest that you use a film camera, and scan the film with a film scanner. So I want to keep detail of shots I take.
