There is a Constitutional right to bear arms.


The Ninth Amendment to the Constitution provides for Unenumerated
Rights. "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights,
shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the
people."


For some incomprehensible reason, goofy left-wing types often seem to think
that means they can invent any "right" they want to, and it automatically
becomes "constitutional" by virtue of the Ninth Amendment.

It just means what it says, Tony. No more and no less.

During the writing of the Constitution there was some concern that
enumerating certain rights in the document might be construed as meaning
there weren't any rights *other* than those enumerated. That is the *only*
reason for the Ninth Amendment, to make it clear that that wasn't so.

To me, it confirms the libertarian mantra. That if it doesn't take away
