Default Website to upload digital pics ?

Is there a free website to upload digital pics to. I mean so that i can
share them with others, family etc. It doesn't have to be password protected
or anything like that, the pictures are mainly scenery, anyone who had an
interest in digital imaging could view them.

I am a 'newbie' to digital imaging and have experimented with aperture,
shutter speeds etc and have quite a few nice shots i'd like to share (and
also to be able to view them on the works PC, and tell family the links to
them etc).

Cheers
Andy

If you don't mind down-sized images, ACDSee 6 comes with free, unlimited web
use for posting picture like this.

Each set can hold 50 images, but you can post as many sets as you like.
They go away after 30 days, but you can always re-post to your heart's
content.
Here's an example using a bunch of shots I grabbed off my hard drive just
for this post:
http://www.sendpix.com/albums/04082215/cet5j3getp/
Click a thumbnail, then click the image that pops up for a larger version.

This took only as long as it took me to highlight each picture in the ACDSee
browser, and then click "SendPix". There is no re-sizing or other
formatting necessary. It's all done automatically and nearly instantly.

Mark -

Some great pics in that group! Where did you find the "horny toad", as we
call them in Texas? They used to be EVERYWHERE (when I was a kid, it was
hard not to step on them) but I haven't seen one in 20+ years,
unfortunately.

Thanks.
We've got hornies here in California, though that one I saw (believe it or
not) while driving 50mph (!!!!) in the middle of the highway near Carlsbad
caverns--not far from Texas.
-Not sure how I noticed him, but he seemed to think he was well-camouflaged
on the course highway he sat on.
Here's what he looked like on the road...
....I think you'll see why he felt he was hiding safely on the amazingly
similarly-patterned road:
http://www.sendpix.com/albums/04082216/1g69pwfegi/

I had to take it in a hurry before he...or I...was run over by on-coming
traffic.
I picked him up and set him down off the road--though he kept running back
onto it.
He finally settled down in the green stuff where snapped a proper picture of
him.

Try www.shuttercity.com

Free gallery, good exchange of critiques, and the folks are very
constructive. You can upload 2 photos a week and are required to
participate in the critique of other photos. I think you have to comment
once for every 2 uploads, or something like that. It has been a great
learning tool. If you want to read the past critiques just hit the comment
button and you see the others as well as the form to leave a comment.

Along similar lines, try Webaperture.com. I've found them a friendly bunch,
and you can upload 4 pictures a week. You can assign these to albums which
stay there forever, up to a maximum of 3 Mb (I think)
