DCResource provides a page where you can search for cameras with the criterion that they use AA batteries, among other features: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraList.php hth, NB Nice link, thanks. |

I'm doing a bit or travelling this winter, and I would like to get a camera that can use AA batteries. I've been looking for a list but I've only been able to find a couple cameras, and I don't want to miss a good choice because there was so much detritus to sort through. I was looking to spend roughly 300-500 and here's what I've found so far: Be aware that while cameras may take a AA size battery, the common AA battery will not work very well in a digital camera. It usually takes a very high short pulse of current for the camera. The non recharbable batteries will not do that very well. YOu may get a few shots and the batteries will not work in the camera but will seem to work fine in a flashlight. |

"Ben" wrote in message om... Any recommendations? The FinePixes have a lot of features for the price, but are Fuji's optic components any good? I'm getting a little overwhelmed with the choices. Canon A60, A70, A74, A80, A85, A100, A200, A300, A310. Recommendations? A75 or A85 maybe. |
