Auto Enhance File Size
In article ,
wrote: I have a question about file size. I have enhanced JPG's using various photo editing programs such as Picasa, Adobe Photoshop Elements and Gimp. I have used Auto Enhance features as well as individual features such as color adjustments and sharpness. The resulting file sizes are always much larger. As an example, a recent photo went from 1.0 meg to 4.5 meg. No adjustments were made to the photo's resolution size of DPI. I'm just trying to understand why this occurs. Why does this happen? Am I doing something wrong? it's saved with a different compression ratio and/or has changes in detail (real or fake). |
