Default still image quality

hello
being new to this hobby,i would like and appreciate some help.i need
tocapture some still images from a digital camcorder.the camera is a sony
model,and the capture card is by siig.i can grab the images but the
quality is pretty poor when i print them.i also have a minolta 3.2 mp still
camera which presents no problem when i print from it.i think i must be
doing something wrong?. any help would be appreciated

Hi Paul...

The camcorder is vga quality (640 x 480), so you should
be able to capture nice images to view on your monitor,
or look at on your TV set...

As far as printing goes though, you're not going to do
much better than 2 by 3 inches before they deteriorate.
(and some of the pro's here are going to argue that even
that's bigger than you should)
