UK 35mm Fiilm Processing Recommendations
Hello Group
I am interested in other peoples recommendations on where to get 35mm film processed. I have been using Jessops until now, and have got on well with them until my local branch lost my photos. Ideally, I would like a reputable, reliable mail order company who will process the film to a good standard, at a competitive price. Free film is not a priority because I like to use my own. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance. Cheers. |

Yeh - accept Jessop's apologies and attempts to make amends and IMHO stick
with them If u have a choice of Jessop's near where you live - go to the one with inhouse image processing There's probably less chance of things going adrift that way Arty "Paul" wrote in message ... Jessop's quality, i heard, differs from branch to branch but my experience with the one i tried was really good. In my experience bonsuprint was absolute crap; bad pictures, and as if that was not enough, scratches too!! Truprint's £0.99 service for the 24 was suprisingly good. I suggest you give them a try and see if it's adequate. I use them for fun when i get a classic camera and want to play with it. |

I've only used them for black and white medium format but the prints were produced quickly and to a high standard -- and the prices were good too (around the same or slightly less then Peak Imaging). Any recommendations? I suspect your concept of "a competitive price" is far below what it costs to do the job properly. And therein lies the problem. People want cheap D+P. People want good D+P. The problem is, they want both at the same time. "A competitive price" doesn't sit happily with "to a good standard". You should decide which is your priority, then ask the question again. If a good standard is your priority I would strongly recommend you try Peak Imaging. But you probably won't like their prices. |
