bitching when the government increased the Medicare levy from 1% to 1.5%

We don't allow lobbyists here to make massive 'campaign contributions'
to our politicians.

Hmm, define massive. Remember, Howard (=Republican) significantly increased
the mandatory contribution disclosure thresholds for political parties.
Keating (=Democrat) had set it at $1,500, today it is $10,500.
