I Don't Find Wacom Tablets Useful
In article , Ken Hall
writes Frequently I need to extract part of an image from it's background. I do this by outlining the object/area. I find it tedious and difficult to do with a mouse, so I bought a Wacom tablet thinking it would make it easier. (In fact, I've bought two as someone walked away with the pen/stylus for my first one.) Why didn't you just purchase a replacement pen for it, it would be much cheaper. I don't understand how people use them. The smooth plastic tip on the pen skates on the smooth plastic pad making it uncontrollable. It skates all over the place like it has a mind of it's own. It sounds like your are pressing far, far too hard; at the default sensitivity setting mine only needs a light touch, barely touching the surface with the side of my fist resting on the pad. I also use a track ball where less precession is required in things like word processors documents, with both connected at the same time I can use either, or even the mouse puck on the tablet. -- Ian G8ILZ |
