Default canon g5 add on filters?

Hi all...
Have had a Canon G5 for a couple of years and am pretty well satisfied with
its performance.
However am a bit discouraged with purple fringing am am thinking of getting
an add on filter kit with a ND, haze and polarizer filter plus extension
tube.
Would the add on ND filter help in cutting down purple fringing in high
contrast bright sunlight conditions?
Thanks for all replies.
