Default Tips on San Antonio

I am planing a photo trip to San Antonio, Texas, in March. I was hoping some
people on the list could provide some tips or suggestions on places to visit for
some good photo opportunities.

Thanks.

It will be a little early for the bluebonnets; besides as dry as it has been
there might not be many this year.

Otherwise, just for starters:

1. The Alamo
2. The rest of the mission churches
3. The River Walk
4. The Zoo
etc., etc., etc.

1. The Alamo

I seem to recall photography not being allowed inside the Alamo, but
it's been quite a while since I was there. You could try telling one
of the docents that you heard the Alamo was moved, and sneak in a
few shots during the resulting riot. :=)

2. The rest of the mission churches
3. The River Walk
4. The Zoo

When I was there in '84, the Hemisfair (sp?) site was an abandoned
wasteland of cracking concrete and weeds. Would have been fun to
load up with B&W film and spend a day capturing the mood. I think
things have revived a bit since then, so there might be more upbeat
things to shoot.

If you walk up-river from the river walk area, you quickly get out
of the city. March might be a good time to find birds up there.
