Dead pixel on Kodak CX7300
I picked up this camera today for $129 AUD and I noticed one stuck
pixel on the LCD display, which is permanantly blue. It's a little annoying, but I understand that to get a few of these pixels on an LCD monitor is normal. Except that an LCD monitor is huge and has many thousands of pixels, but to get one on my tiny little TFT was pretty bad luck, right? Should I take it back? Will they exchange it over something like this? Thanks. |

My Canon G2 has a stuck pixel. The manual says to live with it, it's no big
deal and I paid almost $600 USD for the bugger. The LCD is just to compose the shot, and the res is so low it's pretty useless to do more than just position the image anyway. wrote in message oups.com... Hi Darkfalz,
I don't think that the dead pixel on your screen will impact anything other than your dislike of it. I know such things bother me as I want things to be perfect, if you will. But, once I get used to them it passes. I suggest, however, that you return to the retailer where you bought it for an exchange, if they have a return policy. Get a camera that does not have a burned pixel. The camera will be otherwise the same. Actually a nice camera and I am sure you will enjoy. Yeah, I think I'll just learn to live with it. I not that much into
photography, I just wanted a cheap, decent quality camera to take pictures for eBay and so on. With my luck, I'd take it back for an exchange and get one with two stuck pixels in exchange. Thanks for the replies. |
