I want a digital camera that I can take still pictures with for items
to post online. What minimum specs do I want so that the finer details
such as printing, book covers etc can be viewed clearly. Thanks

For on line work, just about any camera out there will do fine. It does
not take much.

I am not sure what you mean by book covers, but to print an image about
the size of a book cover that will look really good you will likely want
something 3-4 magapixel or larger. If you just want to be able to read
everything on the cover, then I would think you could do well with 1 MP.

Stop by a good camera store and the people there will be more than happy
to help you.

Or even one of the mall chain camera stores.
