Need D200 body only

Does anyone know an online retailer that is trustworthy. B&H backordered
also Samys camera (they are the usually online store I buy from that I
trust)

They are scarce in Canada, Henry's is backordered too. Effectively CompUSA
or BestBuy USA is where Nikon seems to be shipping, as they are NOT
interested in sell to camera stores.

As of yesterday rumor had
Best buy
Circuit City
17th St Photo
Some small photo store in LA (not specified)

Nikon seems to single handedly changing how cameras are being sold.
This from a company who a few years ago required stores to become
certified (and pay some fee) to sell their pro line. Now they are using
mass marketing stores to sell pro level cameras, I guess money talks.
Hey I bought mine at Circuit City, feel awful about that, but all the
local stores said 6-9 months, I could wait weeks, not months, needed it
for a job.

Your best bet is to check the Best Buy site and find the nearest store that
has stock then place an online order to have them hold it until you get
there. Right now the closest one to me is about 4 hours away.

Might try www.pictureline.com (a store in Salt Lake City) where I
bought my D200. Very nice people, and very responsive.

Hate to say it, but you'll get much better luck ordering (or getting
it locally) through Best Buy. Warranty is still through Nikon, so no
big risk. For some reason, they're getting stock when camera stores
aren't.

out of stock. They also have provided excellent customer service.

That's a crock of **** - Ritz Camera has got to be the worst customer
service on the planet - they have screwed me twice and friends of mine
several times as well. they still owe me $1,566.93 it's been a month - I
purchased a lenz that I never received and when I requested a refund after 3
days they say that I will have to wait 3-5 days for a refund - after 6 days
had past I complained and now they say 5 to 10 days before I get a refund is
now 30 days past due - have taken this up with
the Internet Crime Complaint Center -- ic3.gov They said they have many
complaints about Ritz Camera - Ritz Camera aliases as Wolf Camera, Photo
Alley, etc
