RawShooter essentials similar app for the Mac?
I've been using RSE today due to the More DPreview Dribble thread and I'm
really digging it. However, at home my photo workflow is heavily based around my Mac. RSE seems to take the things I use the most in DPP, ACR, and PS CS, and combines them in one app. For the Mac users here in r.p.d.s-s. is there another RAW-specific app that does slideshows, has prioritization, fill light, detail extraction, noise suppression, and something like it's appearance function? Thanks, Greg |

I haven't USED it but, after looking INTO it, I suspect Apple's new "Aperture" might do what you need. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...200701/wo/na76 N3XD0KOY2LaNkwNnSEZbbX8/3.SLID?mco=F1233CF1&nplm=MA154Z%2FA JR -- PowerMac G4 MDD 1.25 SP Mac OS X 10.4.3 |

From all accounts I've read it's not yet ready for primetime. And it's got a loooooooong way to go before it is ready. http://arstechnica.com/reviews/apps/aperture.ars Greg -- "All my time I spent in heaven Revelries of dance and wine Waking to the sound of laughter Up I'd rise and kiss the sky" - The Mekons |

One of the big problems for a lot of people is Apertures system requirements. I'm a fan of iView Media Pro but I don't think it will cover all your requirements in one Application, it does however unlike iPhoto allow you to maintain your own folder structures and intergrates nicely with Photoshop or any other application you want to use alongside it. -- Jon B real email to usenet at jonbradbury dot com |
