Default DVD Slideshow (ULead?)

Any recommendations for a product that will let me compose a slideshow, put
it to music and then burn it onto a DVD?

I have been trying to use ULead (Picture Show 3) but have problems with the
music. Several slides fly by at 2 or 3 per second, then the program hangs
on one slide for several seconds apparently at random. I have been unable
to find any sort of usable systematic support for ULead and think it is time
to move on to a different program.

Personally, I like ULead. The only problem I've had with the version I've
used is that you can only use one music file that loops over and over.

After trying several different slide shows including Ulead I found the
best one was Arcsoft DVD Slideshow. Pan and zoom controls are excellent.
They have a 15 day full functional trail-

A bit pricy, but Adobe Premiere Pro is exceptional. I would imagine for
a still image slide show Premiere Elements would still be a great
choice. Pro offers you three image tracks and three audio tracks. When
you have assembled your show you may export it directly to a DVD or to
an AVI file then burn it with Roxio or Nero (or other program.

Adobe Photoshop Album 2 does this quite well.

In my opinion, nothing beats ProShow Gold (or the "Producer" version) for
DVD slideshow creation...with excellent transition, panning, zooming, text
effects and ease of use. The output to DVD with this program is stunningly
good.

photodex.com

Free, fully functional trial save for the demo banner it places on your
project until you buy it. The good new is that you can create a full show
using the demo...then buy it...and the banner is removed...preserving any
work you may have put in using the demo.
