Symbolic for peace offering? Red the colour of blood and suffering? You
especially like roses? An investigation into the nature of roses (and
flowers)? Is it real or is it plastic - and why is one beautiful and the
other isn't? Is that what a rose really looks like or what we imagine it
to be?
O.K., enough flow-of-consciousness impressions... I'm curious to hear
what *you* were thinking...

Btw, is it just me or does the color seem a bit much in this one?
;-)

Nice work Daniel. I would realign the crop a bit to remove the bright
high-light in lower left corner and give a more diaginal view of the
two roses.
Or you could crop tighter on the main rose and loose the
high-light that way. Then you would loose some of the surrounding
green, though.

Just my two cents worth. Still a nice shot for Valentine's Day.

Draco

Getting even isn't good enough.

Aw, you're so sweet! Beautiful roses for Valentine's Day.
I just hope you didn't have to buy a full roll of color film just for
me.

Way to go, Rocha! I knew you could take a decent pic.

I might've framed it a bit differently, and I would've definitely done
something about that bright white stem in post, but overall, I like it.
Certainly an improvement on that depressing crap you usually post.
Some people have commented that B&W (which I hate) is my forte.
Similarly, you may have found your niche in color, Danny-Boy.
Let's see more!

Right. The highlight is disturbing for me too.

Just my two cents worth. Still a nice shot for Valentine's Day.

Thanks Draco

I have done last weeks some series in color, but color will stay
a low % of my photographic production.

Who cares ?!
