Default Split density or graduated for compact

I have a Canon A610. I'm considering getting an adaptor ring so I can put
polarizer filters and nuetral density filters for landscapes. because of the
wide DOF of these small cameras, I'm wondering if the split is too harsh or
should I go graduated.
Thanks
-S
