Compact Flash Ultra II Problem

I am not sure what the problem is ...I formated my card (Sandisk
Compact Flash Ultra II ) in my Canon 350 and now I am unable to view
the card in the builtin card reader of my computer. However, if I use
the usb cable with the camera, I am able to view the photographs in the
disk.

I have tried reformating the disk in the camera, which has not helped.

Any ideas ?

How long has this been a problem? Sometimes computers exhibit
new, bizarre behavior which disappears after the next reboot. It
might also indicate that the computer's reader died, possibly
temporarily due to a loose cable. Can you still read other cards in
it? Is the card's capacity greater than 2GB? Some computers don't
recognize FAT32, which cameras would use to format very large cards.
