Is there a single useful Apple iOS camera capability that isn't already on Android?

They didn't know they were going to go there. They didn't intend to go there. They didn't want to go there. They were led there by their navigational device which for some reason they trusted. Of course you would have advised that they should not trust the infernal machine. if they had perfect maps and the car failed, they'd be just as screwed, if not more so. they were (and likely still are) morons. There is certainly a moron involved in this situation, somewhere. the reality is that these people were *completely* unprepared for the conditions they put themselves in and had no idea what they were doing. instead of accepting responsibility, they want to blame others. now it's time for *you* to keep up: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/12/10/apple_maps_ghost_mildura To be blunt, there is a place called Mildura whose location is given as exactly where Apple put it * at least, there is in an authoritative source for such a location. Yes, there are two such locations and Apple picked the wrong one. apple went with what the australian gazetteer had. Right now the Australian Gazetteer http://www.ga.gov.au/placename lists six entries for Mildura plus three more places associated with the name. I suppose the people constructing the map selected the one they wanted with the aid of a pin. once made aware of the problem, apple fixed it. expecting apple or any map vendor to confirm every single road on the entire planet is absurd. But that wasn't the problem, was it? THey didn't even get the target destination right. nothing is perfect. every single map has errors. -- Regards, Eric Stevens |
