I have the "little brother" to this... the C-5000. I use it for light
photojournalism (I do a day trip/travel column for local newspaper
here at the DE shore), and personal use. I do have a spare battery and
extra memory card. I'm considering getting a slave/auxillary flash, as
the built-in unit doesn't cut it for more than "snapshot/record"
shots. I have *NO* complaints about the
functionality/performance/quality/anything you care to mention..

I bought one this spring, great camera with options I never would have
belived possible when I was doing 35mm. Pictures are superb in terms of
quality and color. The macro and super macro work very well.

If it is to be a "pool camera" with a number of users it would probably
worthwhile to set up a cheat sheet for Macro use. For normal use just us the
pre-programed mode and all should be well.

I don't think you can beat it for the money--good choice.
