That's true, but I haven't noticed any significant difference in shots
per battery charge between my 4 GB microdrive and my 1 GB SanDisk CF.

I can fill a 4GB card on a single charge, shooting raw.


Interesting, I don't get anywhere near that. The best I can do is
about 1/2 full on a single battery. And that's with no LCD use,
anti-shake set to exposure-only mode, and being pretty careful to shut
off the camera when not in use (between shot sequences).

YMMV, I guess.


Yes, I notice when this topic comes up on the forums I see figures from
about 100 to 200 shots quoted. I get about 300, the 4GB disk holds 334. The
original battery works rather better than the non-branded one I have but
even it gives about 200 raw shots on a microdisk. I've never compared it
with CF but it seems reasonable there will be a difference, but if there is
none that's even more reason to use one.
