Heard on NPR this morning: photographer Matt Black has some really
nice black and white images of California's Central Valley, with its
lack of water:

Very similar to photography done during The Dust Bowl era.


And still a good way to communicate. Too many of us don't realize the
impact. And when the prices of foods increase, will not undrstand why.

That's the way it struck me - his stuff looks kinda like Walker Evans or
Dorothea Lange.
