Some of th pictures of the assoted falls were interesting. Most of them
left me kinda flat. These locations would have been great at sunset of sunrise. I'd scout the place out if you're serious about getting some great shots there. I know, waiting around for sunset, or getting up early for sunrise sucks, but it surely is worth it. Also, trry to head out when some white puffly clouds are about, that sky was evil. Might be helped by a graduated ND filter or two. You can add those in Photoshop or even Picasa2. Picasa is actually easier to use for that I think. http://brizfam.blogspot.com/ |

Actually we have blue skies today (first time in weeks I think) although I haven't been out long enough to spot the big orange ball thingy. Thanks. -- Rob |

I don't like the effect of dimming the pictures until you put the mouse over them. My first reaction was: "Why are all but one picture under exposed" Perhaps a change to the border on mouse-over would be better. -Mike |

Interesting, that's the first two comments I've received regarding how the page works. Frankly, it's just one of PBases standard template pages. -- Rob |

Most need a slower shutter speed and the lower speed ones you did shoot are blurry. Also try to avoid brightly sunlit days when shooting in spotty lighting. The shorter focal length shots seem soft to me, not sure what's going on there, maybe needs some USM or how they were downsampled hurt them? Soft lens? Of the bunch I liked this one.. http://www.pbase.com/rkircher/image/47548558 But even it has more impact sharpened up a bit. Hope you were serious about wanting a critique? :-) -- Stacey |

Hope you enjoy. I used to live around there. Nice shots. My only suggestion would be to shoot more pics with slow shutter speeds. As you've found it really gives the water a velvety texture. You may have to use an ND filter to get the speed down if it's too bright. |
