Minolta's Dimage Xt vs. Xg

I am in the process of looking for a new digital camera. I have been
very interested in the Dimage Xt and was about to order it, until I
recently saw that there is actually a Dimage Xg. The weird thing is,
when I do a price comparison, some places have the Xg (which is
suppposed to be a new and improved version of the Xt) priced a little
lower than the Xt. Why is this? And what are the major differences
between the two? I really want to go with one of these 2, since they
seem to be just what I am looking for, a very small digital that is
good for general pictures and videos, I am by no means a
'photographer', nor do I know much about cameras, so anybody who is
willing to reply to my call for help, please speak in laymens

Although I'm sure you'll get some answers in this group, try posting
in rec.photo.digital newsgroup. You'll certainly get some good
responses in that group.
