Nikon D90
Based on Nikon's track record in trickle-down-technology models, and the
relative newness of the D80, I would guess it would be 9 months to a year. Toby "gpaleo" wrote in message news:1190979797.949084@athprx04... Is a D90 on the way?? Like a poor man's D200 was the D80 (which I love) will a poor man's D300 be a D90 anytime soon??? (focus, bits, speed) |

(focus, bits, speed) Again Nikon takes about 2 years to replace a camera, look to early 2009, Next year will be the high mp pro camera. Then if the rumor mill is anywhere near right a 35mm frame D300 to compete with the Canon 5D or its replacement. The D90 will be after that. Tom |

(focus, bits, speed) I'd like to see a camera the size of the D40, with all the D300 features. (I'd be willing to pay the D300 price for it.) I bought the D70 when it first came out, but I don't use it much because it's too bulky (I take most of my pictures when traveling). The D40 is a surprisingly decent stopgap (I use it with a manual focus 45mm f/2.8P lens and a Katz Eye screen). When it comes to portability, my comparison standard is my trusty FM2. Nikon needs to miniaturize a top-line digital camera. |
