Printing
Hi,
I am working with some of my photos and make them ready for printing. I have used Photoshop Elements on a PC with Windows XP. My printer is Epson Stylus photo 2100 (I think 2200 in North America). What I wonder is: Is there a difference between the different format options when it concerns printing? I know JPG and GIF are best for viewing but is there any especial format preferred for printing photos? Thanks, Mojtaba Maters of English, Please check if the usage of "special" in the above context is right or not. |

Especial is a latin form, used in Spanish & perhaps Italian, & French........ |

If you are creating the original file you should select tif as the file
format. jpg uses compression that reduces image quality. gif uses compression that discards some colors. "Mojtaba" wrote in message ... I usually print from TIF in PS, but those prints I've made from good quality JPG's have been very good (Epson 785 EPX). I'm not really sure that a printer can render much better than JPG in any case, but the folks at the NG above can probably give a good answer. -- -- rec.photo.equipment.35mm user resource: -- http://www.aliasimages.com/rpe35mmur.htm -- e-meil: there's no such thing as a FreeLunch.-- |
